大阪 Osaka - a culinary heaven

Like I mentioned in my previous post about Osaka, the city is a food paradise, and we enjoyed there some of the best food we ever tasted!!!

A lot of foodie heavens are small and encourage you to eat on the go. In the evening though, we found this cute restaurant where we were the only tourists. I was a great experience to eat in a traditional japanese restaurant, having to remove our shoes before stepping in and sitting on pillows on the floor. The menu was only in japanse but with with the help of our translation booklet and the super realistic plastic examples of dishes, we managed to figure out what to pick in this gastronomic utopia.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the delicious restaurant we took these photos in... I think it appears on some of the pics, but it's in japanse and I cannot read it! In case someone does, please share how the name is said in English!! Merci!

This restaurant was so good we ate there 3 times! Well, it was actually 4 times. Our very last day in Japan, after feeling a bit disappointed from a sushi restaurant in Tokyo, we decided to go enjoy that amazingly good food one last time and yes, we took a 3 hours train just for that! 7 hours transportation in one day for something that good was really worth it, no matter how crazy it sounds like!
